Replacing / Updating Blocks that contain Attributes

Ok, in attempts to save time, I have replaced a block in my drawing with another block, but what do I do when the attribute in the NEW block disappears?

I replaced the old block through the express tools. The replacement worked great, however, the attribute in the NEW block does not appear. I checked the layers and everything is on layer "0". I also made sure all my layers were on.... still no attribute. Am I missing something?

Any quick help would be appreciated.... I am under the gun here.
