Using the Publish command to Batch Plot in AutoCAD 2007

My company has recently upgraded to Auto CAD 2007 from 2004. In 2004 we were able to Batch Plot. I believe that is now the Publish Command but I have no idea how to use it. If there is anyone who could walk me through it I would appreciate it.

command: Publish

"add sheets"

get the list of sheets how you want and select the correct "page setup"

then hit "publish"

How does a sheet set make batch plotting easier?

My two scenarios:

Sheet Sets: I had to make named views, layouts, and then put the layouts
into the sheet set. Is there another way?

Page Setups: Create the page setups, use the publish command, save
a sheet list. No named views or layouts.

i have the page setups needed already created in the template file. it's also the same file i reference for the 'page setup over ride' publish method (r-click w/out the publish dialog box)

I'm mostly stuck in the dim and distant past of Acad 2000, but trying to learn how to batch plot with PUBLISH in Acad 2008.

I have a group of drawings I'd like to batch plot. They currently all have different page setups/plotting parameters/whatever. I can't figure a way to by default have them all plot the same way. Do I have to go into each drawing and individually change the page setup, or is there a way I can essentially say "plot all these drawings to plot files as 22x34 with the same pen settings."
