    Lightbulb Points - Display Properties

Does anybody know if there is a MATCH PROPERTIES add-on for Points out there anywhere? We commonly use many different point styles in a project and it would be really nice to be able to say "make these new points look like that existing one."

Assign style overrides based on point group membership
then when a point is in the right group it automaticaly
    displays correctly.

Interesting - I am very comfortable with point groups but I've never used point style overrides. Just to be clear, are you referring to the 'Overrides' tab in the Point Group Properties dialog box?

Question Re: Points - Display Properties

Not sure if they fixed this in 2005 , but in order for the point styles to come in correctly, you have to use the Point Group Manager to insert the point groups. Anyone else run into this problem (glitch - BUG????)

The 'bug' is that the point group style over rides will
not be applied, unless you insert them into the drawing
with the dialogue box, otherwise they fail. Nice right?

    Been broken since release 1.

    Issue

When inserting points into a drawing by point group with an override, the points do not use the override when you select D for the Dialog option.

    Solution

To apply an override to a point group:

From the Points menu, choose Insert Points to Drawing.
At the Points to Insert command prompt, type D.
In the Points to Insert dialog box, choose Advanced.
On the Source tab, choose Group Points with Overrides.
Note: To preview the point list to be inserted, select the List tab.

    Choose OK to insert points.

Also style overrides are not applied if one inserts ALL points to the file
they must be inserted by group.
