    Default After Windows update, "User32.DLL Relocated" error on startup

    I was greeted to this error when I logged in this morning, after my computer did an Automatic Windows Update overnight.

    I tracked it down to a conflict between the Windows Update and the Realtek AC97 driver for my motherboard's on-board audio chip. Microsoft posted a fix yesterday:

    had you update realtek AC97 ?
    How did you do?

    The hotfix in the link that I posted fixes the problem. There is no need to do anything else.
