Default AutoCAD 2007 quits when selecting a file from the recent list under file pull-down

    I am having a problem with Acad 2007 / Land Desktop 2007

Whenever I use my recent documents under the file pull down in Cad opens the file normally, loads all the addons, does a regen then I can see the actually "quit" command appear and then Cad shuts down.

Only happens when I have SDI set to 1 (which is the way I want it).

This only happens when using the recent documents under "file"

I have recently update with the new service pack. Any other options?

I dont know what is causing the problem you describe, but I stopped using the most recent files because it would cause things not to load properly. That was my solution, the first thing I do with a new release is change the files shown from 9 to 0.

I read this post and though "wow, somebody feels my pain."
I have had recent cad crashes where the software decides to close on me.

I doubt I will be able to put my finger on the cause.

Is it just a certain drawing or all of your drawings? If it just one specific drawing, try do a recover.

We stopped using the recent files from the pull-down menu after 2000i. Never used it since because it wasn't loading everything properly.

I have no trouble with files opened from the recent files list. I just get annoyed that the most recently-used files often don't appear on the list.

    That bugs me, too.

But I use the list all the time and never a problem.

I like RECENT that I downloaded from Dot Soft. I've never had a problem with that.

This has been a problem for me as well.

I hate not being able to utilized those recent files. I have never had this problem is previous releases, but going to 2007 has caused this problem throughout my office.

    Has ANYONE found a solution?
