Question Glazing visible and invisible in same model

    Hello!

Came across an interesting condition…anyone experience this?

Have the same glazing material designated in several wall types and windows. For some reason the glazing shows up frosted on a few walls and clear on the others (when in shaded views).

    Facts:
The material designated for all the glazing is the same.
The thickness of the glazing is the same for all the custom walls and windows
    Transparancy:40, Smoothness:50, Shnininess:15

Any ideas? Attached is an example of the glazing variation...

Thanks in advance for any conversation!

No, here's a of place to start though.. Here. Also, are there two wall types?,such as storefront and curtain wall. If so check the glass definition of each.

Question Re: Glazing visible and invisible in same model

Thank you for the thread recommendation....

The disappearing glazing is in a typical wall type (not storefront or curtain wall family).
    I'm really baffled-

I've attached the wall type and a window for inquiry. The material in question is glass in the window and in the wall type... I have messed around with the material thicknesses in attempt to correct the problem, to no avail.

Thanks again for any comments. I'll send holiday cookies to anyone who can figure it out

I'm sure you have a good reason, but why not use a curtain wall for this system. Seems like a lot of work the way you're approaching it. Attached is a curtain wall designed to accomplish the end verdict of your post, but I don't know the logic in using a composite wall the way you did. Could not make your wall type work properly.

    You're 100% correct.
I'm caught in the details and miss the big picture.

If anyone else delves into this quandary, think of Skisouth's wisdom... use a curtain wall.

Sickly enough, I'm still curious why the glazing disappeared
