New install of AutoCAD 2008 crashing when accessing CUI editor

Having some problems with new 2008.
I uninstalled all previous AutoDesk software packages, cleaned up the program folders/files & registry, then rebooted & loaded the current display drivers, then rebooted again before loading the new package.

I'm finding it crashes when trying to use CUI editor, trying to install my partial menu which worked with 2006, & crashes when closing.

Any help would be appreciated,

Hi

When you installed, did you temporally disable your Anti-Virus software (assuming you run such software)?

Have you tried running a Repair/Install, see if that clears-up the issue / problem?

Thanks for responding.
I disabled most of the services by running in msconfigs diagnostic mode in WinXP, as recommended by AutoDesk; their Subscription Support are helping out, but I wanted to see whether anyone else had a solution.
I'm getting to the stage of going back to ACAD 2006, or wiping the PC & starting from scratch.

Just a note to say that I had to resort to wiping the disk & starting from scratch, with the help of AutoDesk's Subscription Support. The package works fine now.

No, but I think that it must be related to another software package - or a previous version of AutoCAD. I tried it on 3 other PC's, which all had problems.
