Default 3D solids to 2D conversion

    HI
Does anyone know of a way of generating a 2D Autocad drawing from a drawing that contains 3D solids. Basically I want a drawing that look likes like what I print out, but as a 2D drawing. Our sub consultants can't handle my 3D drawings

    Cheers

    Hi

Take a look at the AutoCAD commands -

    ._SolDraw
    ._SolProf
    ._SolView

Check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS17315 - Create 2D drawing from 3D solid model

    ID: TS45483 - Flatten 3D model to 2D

    Have a good one, Mike

    Thanks Mike
The DXB plot did the trick. Puts everything onto 1 layer but achieves a DWG version of my drawings our Electrical consultant can handle
