    Default Sticky/Jumpy Controls

I'm using AutoCAD 2011 on Windows 7. I usually have two drawings open, one of them is fine in the sense that i don't have any problems with it. The other drawing is another matter......the cross-hairs are very slow to react to the mouse, and so are the commands. When i press a command the little square doesn't move smoothly over the screen but is jumpy, like it's snapping onto a grid....which by the way is turned off. Tried a lot of things, Audit, Purge and nothing. The weird thing is, this drawing is a Save As from the one that has no problems. I'm pretty fast at drawing and this is slowing me down big time.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

I just Copied everything form the problematic drawing and pasted it into a New drawing thinking it would sort itself out, but NO, the problem still exists

Are you saying that SNAP is turned off or GRID is?
GRID doesn't matter, SNAP does matter.

The snap is turned off. However, the drawing i'm working on has 3 sections......so, what i've done is copied a section into a new drawing and working on it from that and it's fine. I don't think it's a command issue, i think there's something in the actual drawing that's causing this blip. When i copied everything into a new drawing i was getting the sticky command, but as i've just copied a part of the drawing, it seems to be fine. Maybe when i copy the other sections into another new drawing, i'll probably find out which section has the issue.....a process of ilimination me thinks.

Is DUCS enabled? (See http://cadpanacea.com/node/258 )
Is Selection Cycling enabled? This can slow down things in a busy drawing.

Both are turned off...but as i mentioned earlier, i've copied portions of the drawing i need to work on in a new drawing and it seems to be fine. I really think there's a block in the drawing that's causing these problems.
