Default Extract the 3D points that make up the control points of SPline objects

I am thinking of a routine to extract the 3d points that make up the control points of spline objects created as contours. I would then use the Add3mesh method to draw the contour in 3d mesh. What I need help with is how to sort and order the list of points extracted from the splines into the array configuration the method needs. Does anyone know of a tutorial on the 3 d mesh method? I am trying to figure out how to group the point lists with the face indexes so that the resulting mesh will give a true value of the contour. Any advise will be much appreciated. Maybe Pface Command?
