    Default Revit and Design Review

Has anyone experienced any problems with 3d models in Design Review. I have the latest version and am working in RAC 2008 and have exported some 3d models in Design Review and it was very responsive and worked fine....but now, I open up a 3d model with design review and I can barely move my mouse around, let alone spin or move the model. It is extremely slow. Basically, using design review is not an option at all because of the speed.

Any ideas what may have caused this. I have been experiencing problems with crashing and graphics in RAC 2008, so I updated my Nvidia FX graphics driver, so maybe that had something to do with it.

    Thanks.

Just a thought - did you uninstall the old Nvidia driver before installing the new one?

I've had occasional strange behaviour in various 3D applications in the past when just updating a graphics card driver rather than uninstalling and reinstalling, which was cured by removing and reinstalling the latest driver (ditto Wacom tablet drivers BTW).

Yes, I un-installed the old one, then installed the new one. My assoc. in my remote office stated that he is having the same problem. Works fine on his laptop, but on his desktop, really really slow. Can't use it.

Strange - the whole model (admittedly not that large) spins almost too fast on my PCs - they use Nvidia FX 1500 and FX3000 cards.

BTW compared to using Acrobat 3D, Design Review seems to have similar functionality but without paying Adobe's horrendous UK prices for it - and the navigation tools are probably better in DR (as I told Adobe... all we want is a way for clients to walk round the model - as soon as they open it in Adobe Reader and attempt to move it the building keels over - there is no way apart from adding a script to keep the thing horizontal.. like the Shift key would too easy? )

I just started publishing set progress sets to dwf today and when I opened them up, the lineweights for everything, including dimensions in the floor plans are the same. Also, some of my masks are not masking and some of the fill patterns are very splochy.

Anyone else?? It seems I cannot print using my object styles for lineweights etc.
