Default Resize the size of Objects

Does anyone know how I can specify or resize the size of an object? I have a series of drawings of parts and they are showing for example 53.223" high and I need to resize it to 1.375". I know this can be done in Inventor but is it possible to do this in AutoCAD LT or AutoCAD 2005 or AutoCAD 2008? It would be a big help. Thanks.

The scale command will work just fine here. Select your objects; type SCALE, hit R for reference, and type in 53.223 and then 1.375

Also, please refrain from posting the same question in multiple forums.

    Thanks
