When I start LT 2008 the program automatically opens a new drawing, "DWG1", is there a way to change the settings so it opens with the screen that you get when you close all drawings

I'm not sure if there is a way to do what you want, but you can set it up in the options screen to start with a template of your choice instead of the default template
