Default Convert a multi-line to a single line

    Hi,

I know very little about multilines and want to change one into a single line type.

Any Ideas on how to achieve this?

I have looked to edit the line style but it wont let me. I have created another ML style but I cannot change its style.

    Acad2007

    Many thanks in advance

Your old pal "Explode" seems to do the trick....

    Should have explained further.

If I explode it gives me 2 lines and I will have to draw a line at midpoint along the entire ML path. As its the site boundary I'm a bit reticent to do this.

If I could convert the ML to a single line then this will be OK.

Set MLine Scale to "0"? Does depend on which way it is justified as to whether it will come in at the right place or not.

Another option depending on what other objects you have in the drawing is to use a polyline with a width to it and set shademode to 0.

Or alternatively use the express tool mkltype - but this has given me more than a few head aches in the past.

Actually I just created a linetype using the mkltype, it works fine if its a straight line but it doesn't clean up when it turns a corner or a curve. so Carls method is probably better.

I'll just stop getting involved I think

    Try this method:

    1. explode
    2. turn back into polylines, and join them all
    3. offset half the distance of the original multi-line
    4. erase old polylines
