    Question Cad Tests?

I am a newly appointed Cad Manager. I am having to hire a new cad drafter for our company. I am looking for a program that was used on my a long time ago in my early drafting days. It was a multiple choice test about your knowledge of Auto-cad I thing 11 for dos. I am curious if there are any programs like that for the new versions of Auto-cad 04-08?

Along the same line are there any pre done Cad drawing test anywhere? I am currently creating one for myself just trying to not have to re-invent the wheel if possible.

    Hi

Try plugging the following search criteria into the forum search facility (hint - limit your search to this actual forum CAD Mgmt. General)...

    Key Word(s): Test

    Tests

    Have a good one, Mike

If you have a local college that offers CAD classes or degree's, you may be able to get some advice there (as well as a good crop of trained drafters)

I always preferred to give a short 2D drawing that the job candidate would show his/her ability. Since the overall key is to know if he/she is able to manage the skills necessary to run AutoCAD or any CAD system effectively. I mean, we all know they are 101 ways to do a specific task in AutoCAD.

I'm sure there a good simple drawings online somewhere that shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to draw that would give the candidate a chance to show their ability.

    This is a hard question...

    What do you test for...

Being able to do cad and or being able to do design with cad...

    Very hard...

I will keep my eyes on this thread to see where it takes me...

    I'm all ears everyone...

and I'm sure there is something in your company files that could be used.
