    Default Automatic Material Calculations

I was thinking it would be helpful if Civil3D could look at the corridor created and be able to read the different materials (curb & gutter, asphalt, etc.) and be able to give you a calculation of pervious materials on that corridor.

Do you want Pervious or Impervious? Impervious would be easy to calc. just total the surface area of your pavement and concrete. to get the pervious subtract that number from your total surface area of the corridor.

I want it to see the grass strips and other grassed areas and know to put that into the pervious area too.

It seems that this would be possible using an expression and your material listings with your codes. Let me think about it and I will post what I find this weekend.
