Default AutoCAD 2007 unable to add Blocks to Tool Palettes

I am using Autocad 2007 and I can not add any blocks to tool pallets. I created a blank tool pallet by changing the file location search path. I was able to load 4 different tool pallets with dynamic blocks a couple of days ago. Now nothing will load. The methods I have tried are drag and drop to the pallet, copy the object to the pallet, and I used Design Center to create a new pallet. In Design Center, the pallet tab was created, but no objects were put on the pallet. Any ideas what could cause objects not to load onto a tool pallet.

First, have you saved the drawing?

Second, when selecting the block, select it, then DO NOT pick the grips to move it. Pick somewhere else on the object itself and drag that over to the pallette.

    HTH.
Give a man AutoCad, and he'll draw you a floor plan.
Give a man Revit and he'll build you a house.
Give Cadmama a couple of drinks and she'll have everyone singing Rockytop!

Are you selecting by left clicking on the block, and then dragging the block to the palette with the right button depressed?

The drawing is has been saved. I am not grabbing the grips - I do double click on the block and you can see the block being dragged to the tool pallet, but when you release it on the tool pallet it is not there or just doesn't load on the pallet.

Just to make sure, you are following these steps EXACTLY, right?

    1) Left-click and release on the block to select the block.
    2) Click again on the block (either left-click or right-click, but NOT on a grip - it won't work if you select a grip). This time, make sure you keep the button held down after you click.
    3) Drag'n'drop the block on the tool palette.

If you follow those steps EXACTLY, you should see a little box appear on the tail end of the cursor while you are dragging the block. If you don't see an arrow cursor with a little box on the tail end of it while you are dragging the block, the block won't go onto the tool palette.
