AutoCAD 2008 crashes on keyboard input

We're upgrading to 2008 in our office (from 2005) and we've got a problem with one user. The install seems to go fine and the program loads, files can be loaded and edited, but as soon as a keystroke is entered, the program quits, no error messages, nothing. Has anyone seen anything like this? As soon as it's 7am in California, I'm calling Autodesk, but I thought I'd try here as well. Anyone?

Got it myself. There was a partial CUI file named ACAD.cui, conflicting with the main CUI file ACAD.cui. I removed all customizations then reapplied the company cui's individually. With the partial ACAD.cui file removed, all is well with the world and the keyboard accepts input again.

Hi,
Colleague of mine having same problem. He has reinstalled his Autocad 2008 and as soon as he hits any key on keyboards its shutting itself down. He also investigated that socketserver file in the task manager is sending critical information out to Autodesk.
Can someone please help us out!!

try using a different profile, I had this problem and once I changed profiles it didn't happen anymore. I just rebuilt what I had on the previous and replaced it.
