Default ???1-2-3 Revit: BIM and Algorithmic Form Finding

Has any one look at this article and been able to read what you type into the family type box to make it happen?

Get a hold of some of Phil Read's families. Some of which were shown in that write up. I think you can get them from the AU download area... Someone else may have a link.

This is a journal file Phil Posted a while back in response to "can't do that in Revit." Close Revit, drag the journal file over the icon and sit back and watch. Then save the project file. Disclaimer - I have not tried the journal file in 2008 - might not work as journal files DO change. I have the rvt file if it doesn't work for you. This journal file creates the tower shown in this IMAGE.

NOTE: This is NOT a zip file. Simply rename the file extension to be only .txt. It was renamed zip to upload due to file size.

    Skisouth,

It did not work for 2008 or Rev 9.1 so it would be great if you can post the tower file. Thanks everyone for responding so far....

I can get it to work to some degree. This routine stops before the two voids that cut the shape are finished. The point is to watch how Phil creates the beast, not the end product. The revit file is 11 megs. I recorded most of the creation - its 28 megs. Neither can be posted here. If you want what I have please just post a request and I send it out via yousendit.com
