AutoCAD 2006 Block icons not updating

AutoCAD DesignCenter is not showing the correct icons (thumbnails) for drawings in our block library.

If a drawing is renamed the correct icon is shown, however when the name is put back to the original the icon is also reverted. AutoCAD must be caching the thumbnails, it used to put them in a *.cdc file in the folder - this could be deleted and then DesignCenter would rebuild it. Now it doesn't use that file and in fact if one exists when I choose 'Refresh' from the context menu the old file is deleted.

I have even tried creating an empty *.cdc file to see if that would force a refresh, but the file is deleted and the incorrect icon remains.

Any ideas?

Good question.

Can you simply move the files to another folder?

Not the best, but could work.

I have yet to see a correct set of thumnails from
both design center and toolpalletes. I always have
to recreate the folders and palletes.

Thanks, recreating the folder with a new name works, however as soon as the name is changed to the correct one the icons revert. So AutoCAD is caching the icons outside of the folder (I only copied the dwg files to the new folder and deleted the old one). I can't leave the folder with the new name, nor can I leave the blocks with new names as they are referred to by several scripts and menu macros.
