For some reason I can not double click an object and view its properties... no matter what object I click, the properties palette shows the same information, which seems to be general drawing properties. Any idea what is going on here?

Is your PICKFIRST system variable set to 1?Originally Posted by timothyjturner
yes and dblclkedit is on as well.... the properties window actually does come up.. it just does not contain information on my object, just general info that never changes instead.
Have you ran any registry cleaners lately? If so, a repair may be in order.Originally Posted by timothyjturner
No, but I did attempt to install a third party (allen bradley) autocad extension. I later found out that the extension was only supported up to 2005. I suppose its possible the installation attempt could have had an effect.
I'm not sure that would do it...Originally Posted by timothyjturner
Does it show what kind of object is selected, but none of the info for that object, or does it say No Selection?
If the prior, maybe have a look at Properties palette blank after selecting object KB article and see if it applies.
It reads No Selection
Which usually means that Pickfirst=0.
That is not necessarily the case. I have had this happen on 2006 many times, but not yet on 2008, thankfully. And my sysvars did not change prior to this occurring. Most every time, the only fix was a repair of the installation, with a full re-install being the last option.
I would like to know what your fix is.
Not necessarily...but usually the case.Originally Posted by Bunny
