Question Join Geometry between host and family

Is it possible to join geometry between a host and the hosted family? In particular, can I join a cabinet to a wall to get rid of the heavy wall line between the two in section?

    thanks for any help.

Casework cannot be joined to other objects. Use the linework tool.

Thanks- you saved me tons of time trying to get Revit to do what it does not do.
