    Thumbs up Point Cloud Data to Inventor 2008

    Hello,

    I would like to know, what is the procedure for importing point cloud data from reverse engineering equipments into Autodesk Inventor 2008

    For this operation you will need to create an Excel spreadsheet with the first 3 cells across the top of the spreadsheet as X Y & Z. Open a new part, and start a 3D Sketch. Use the Import Points command to import the xls file, and the points will be created in the sketch. For more details, use Inventor Help and search for "import, sketch points". Hope this helps.
