Default Audit is slow when run multiple times

    Hello everyone,

We have encountered a problem that is increasing daily. As a routine, we run the audit command on our drawings often to clean up extraneous errors. Lately, we have encountered a huge delay (several minutes) between the first and second pass of the audit. Once the second pass begins, it is very fast, as was the first, it is just a delay in between that is killing us.

I thought that it had to do with large numbers of x-references or with non-zero Z coordinates, but eliminating these do not seem to remedy the situation.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Charlie

All these PCs are top notch with 3 GB of Ram. I don't think the issue is with the machines, but more the drawings. Some drawings, even large ones, breeze right through the process, other smaller files hang for minutes.

To large drawings maybe you should to use Purge command for unless properties.
