Default Keep the previously selected area without having to redo the window?

I click to select a window for plotting and AutoCad shows me the previously
selected area in model space. Is there a way to keep the previously
selected area without having to redo the window?
I may wish to replot the previous selection.

If you don't change the plotting parameters, doesn't it keep the same window area from one plot to the next automatically?

Once I select plot, I cannot see the previous area (no visual).
I then hit window and realize what I want to plot has been already selected (visual shown).
I do not see a way to reconfirm the window, without placing an additional pickbox.

Hmm, I see what you're saying... Will the "Full Preview" work for what you're doing? That would verify what portion of the drawing has been "windowed".

Define the window in a page setup.

In 2007, there's a button at the bottom of the dialog box that says "apply to layout". After you pick your window, click it to save your selection. Then you can just use the preview button to confirm it.

All good suggestions. I have come to the conclusion that a
quick escape key works to exit the window selection.
The highlighted area will be kept as the selection.

Sometimes the solution is an easy one.
