AutoCAD 2005 open drawing files that push memory usage over 1.8 GB

AutoCad2005 will not allow you to open a file that pushes memory usage over 1.8gb. Will later versions allow you go past that limit?

I am not sure I follow along with what you have stated above.

As far as I know (which means nothing), your Hardware and ultimately your operating system will determine allowable / workable limits to be reached ie AutoCAD (software) does not control those limits.

My operating system allows up to 3gb.
