Sheet metal design, need some assistance using fold and sketch plane

Hello: I recently completed an Inventor course at a local com college. I am in the sheet metal fab business, we did not touch on this subject very much. I am having some difficulty in the fold and sketch plane areas. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would suggest staying away from using the Fold command although I will give you a tutorial on using that as well. Fold assumes you are working from a flat but in general you want to model as-folded and let Inventor figure out the flat.
You should be very familiar with sketch planes from the intro class though. You could have your work cut out for you if you didn't understand this topic. This is so basic that I think I only had one tip related but you might go through this document for other tips in the meantime.
