    Default windows in fill areas

i'm having a problem with placing a new window in an existing wall where there was originally a door that was demolished. the wall automatically filled in the hole where the door was removed but when i go to put a new window in the same location, it shows it in plan but in elevation it only shows the outline of the window but it's filled in with the brick wall. any ideas?

Is the Phase Filter of your view in properties set to "show all"? if so, then infilled wall piece is still showing.

Lila, there was a post about this same issue just a day or two ago in this very forum. Do a search, or just look for it in the last few days of traffic. I can't remember what the resolution was, but there is a fairly easy solution.

    Good luck!

Set it to "Show Existing and New" and then the "demo" piece will go away.
