Default inserted images at wrong location

Hi All - I have an occasional problem inserting images. Sometimes they appear way off as if the units were wrong. These are images I've created and I know the correct projection and units but sometimes this problems pops up. I've also noticed that sometimes multiple undos will "move" the image to the correct location even tho it never appeared there during insertion. Using Map 2005, one PC with RasterDesign and one without, same issues on both.

    thanks,

    Dave

Are you using the MAP Image insert command or the standard image insert command from AutoCAD?

I usually use the Image>Insert, I think this launches Raster Design.

Are you selecting the world file to use for the insertion point, and do the units match in the dwg with the units the image is georeferenced with?

You said "These are images I've created ..." so what did you use to create them and what format are they? I am trying to get to the bottom of a similar problem and not sure what is wrong. I created ECW files where the EWW ic correct. If I load one at a time it is OK but when all at once, some are way off.

    Jim,
That's a known bug, using batch image insert only reads the first world file correctly and the rest are either read wrong or ignored altogether. The feedback we got back from AutoDesk MAP support was don't do that, either use the FDO or load one at a time.
