    Default Mtext Bounding box

    Hi,

I am working on a drawing and have a problem with the mtext bounding boxes.
I attach a 2007 format drawing of the mtext associated with the drawing.
Please note, I have removed all non mtext objects from the drawing.

What i would like to know is this -
Is there a quick way to re-size all the mtext bounding boxes so that it encloses the mtext properly, rather that doing it one at a time?

    Regards

Anytime I want to modify similar objects, I use the select similar command (Ctrl+Shift+A or select object, right-click - select similar). You'll want to pay attention to how it selects to make sure you only are modifying the objects you want. Usually it selects by object type and objects with similar object properties (layer, etc.). Then you can change the text box width in the defined width field in the properties box.

You can also use the match properties command (MA) to make other text boxes the same size.

Hopefully that helps. I couldn't open your file as I'm still running 2006 (for at least another week) to look at your exact problem.

ToolPac includes a routine to do this.
