Map 3D 2007 crashes when trying to open Layer Manager

I am having troubles with my Layer Manger, but the program crashes and the following error pops up:

What version of AutoCAD are you running, and what operating system? Has anything changed on your computer lately (IE new software, updates, new hardware)?

I am using AutoCAD MAP 3D 2007 on Windows 2000. All of my data was moved onto a new file server about 3 weeks ago. I remember having this problem before, but cant remember how I fixed it

First, have a look at THIS THREAD and see if it helps you out. Basically MAPSKINMAP do disable the Map Skin. It's for 2006, but it may still apply. ~fingers crossed~
