Default Total area parameter (schedules & BOMA calculations)

In revit schedules you can have the calculated total at the bottom.

Is there a way to have a column be a parameter that references that total?

Or is there a way (like in excel) you can have a parameter equal to the sum of another column?

I'm helping someone out trying to do some BOMA calculations.

    Thanks,
    -k-

Unfortunately, no. Revit can't use calculated values or totals to populate other fields in a schedule.

This is a feature I've been wanting for some time now and i think it would make schedules infinitely more flexible and powerful.
As for BOMA calcs, you can add total area as another parameter and then revise it in all areas by updating a schedule key value.
Do a quick search and you should find some suggestions.
