    How do you mean? A shadow to buildings, trees etc?

    The easiest way is to add the drop shadow fx to your style. You style should have a fill in it of some kind. You can then hit a checkbox to cast the shadow internally or externally.

    If you are talking about shadows on building elevations, you will have to do them the old fashioned way if you are working in Autocad. I make a separate file of the shadow hatches, bring them into Impression, then apply a single style to all the shadows and make that into a block which I then import into my main file. Sounds complicated but it is quick and you can control all your shadows by fiddling with the settings in your block.
