Autocad Locks up when plotting

I'm having a rather frustrating issue. When I go to print, 8 out of 10 times, Auto cad freezes. I have to manually shut it down and restart it. (Auto cad, not the PC).
I'm using Auto cad 2005 with the service pack.
1gig of Ram.

I wasn't having any issues until I switched back to a different PC because my other one crashed in a big way. I've tried completely uninstalling Auto cad and reinstalling it and still have the same problems. It's not just when I pick a particular printer, it's as soon as I hit the print button. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check these:

1) make sure you are mapped to the folder with your PC3 files.

2) make sure your printer driver on the new computer is the same version as the driver used to create the PC3 files.

3) it might be a corrupted page setup. you may need to import and overwrite the pagesetup with a known good one.

Thanks. I'll give those a try.
I did update my driver for my plotter. It all just seems odd. It's not when I've picked a particular printer, it's as soon as I click on the plot button.
I did revise my page setups, and I also set my default to none. That seemed to help for the remainder of yesterday, but I won't know more until I back at the office on Thursday.

Another question that ties into this subject. It seems that there's an issue with an old PLC file, or Page setup. I've set my templates to open and not have any plot stile loaded up. What I was wondering was if there was a system variable that I could set so that even when I load up an old drawing it will set my default printer and page set up to none. Thanks!
