Mechanical 2008 - Embedded watermark appears in plotted drawings

We have received some autocad drawings from India, which have been authored on an educational edition of autocad. All the drawings have a watermark embedded within the file, which is only visible on the print.

Does anyone know how to turn this off? We are trying to copy part of the drawings into our own, but the watermark transfers with any single drawing entity copied accross even though all our products are fully licensed versions (Mechanical 2008).
