    Default Moving Origins

Ok, I have an instance where I want to shift our origin. We are linking an architectural model into our structural model and everything is shifted about 6.5" in elevation. I am not sure how the two models are no longer at the same elevations but there you have it. Also to note, the copy monitor feature was somehow turned off or eliminated. As for things I have tried:

    1) Aligning the levels in the structural model with the architectural model. Problem: All the elevations would be wrong by the 6.5".

    2) Moving everything up in the model. Problem: Same as above.

    3) Shared coordinates. I don't know much about this yet but when I select the link it only tells me that the coordinates have already been synchornized.

    4) Just move the linked architectural model. Problem: This is a temporary fix. Everytime we get a new model or the architect does, we have to move the linked models to match. I am looking for a more permanent solution.

If there was a way to shift our origin, it seems like all the problems would just work themselves out. The linked model would come in at the correct elevations and everything would match up. Any ideas?

I believe what you are looking for is under Tools > Project Position/Orientation > Relocate this Project.

    I hope that's it!

you can go to tools- shared coordinates-specify coordinates at a point and select the level you want to change.
after that you should go to the properties of the level and edit it, and change the "elevation base" to "shared".
