    Default Stacked Wall Tag

It seems that Revit wants to tag the individual walls that make up a stacked wall type.

Please tell me I'm doing something wrong. Revit has to be smart enough to realize that a stacked wall should have its own unique type tag distinct from the walls that make it up...Right?

    Try keynoting it instead...

I think we will first try duplicating the wall type of the lower part of the stacked-wall and give it the wall-type designation for that stacked wall, then load this unique one only into the Stacked wall. This way we can keep using wall tags in plan reading correctly.

    Thanks for the reply Norton

A "stacked wall" is a lot like a "Model Group," in that you cannot give the object compilation and identity data. You cannot give it a type mark value, nor a keynote, etc.

Currently, when you draw a stacked wall you are basically using it for the ease of placing two basic walls together, and (unfortch) has to be treated as such, with respect to tagging... UNless you band aid it as you have with a dupe Basic wall type.

It would be GREAT of we could tag/schedule/place parameters in compilations like Model GROUPS and Stacked walls though. I can think if TONS of uses for them...
