    Default File Conversion or Redraw?

I am doing some revisions on some drawings done in Archicad and saved as dwgs. It seems simpler to me just to redraw them in Revit, as I have hard copies. When I complete the revisions I am to return them to the Architect to review and print.

Sure, you could make a case for that. You could actually use the DWG as a linked underlay. Then you just trace it, adding detail components and filled regions as you deem necessary.

Perhaps it depends on the extent of the revisions versus the amount of time it is going to take you to redraw it by tracing over the existing drawings.

It is often more appealing to do in Revit - being a nicer program to use and all but there is a cutoff point where it is not worth it. There is also the issue of any further work arising in which case it strengthens the idea of redrawing..........all depends on how good your crystal ball is.
