Take the best user of Civil 3D put them up against the best user of Land Desktop, go head to head on a 700 unit 1000acre project and see who comes out ahead

After you find out who comes out ahead on that task. Have them both change some of the alignments and finished grade profiles, and see who comes out ahead on that task.

I have a response for the 700 lot site post.
I just finished a 355 lot - 9 phase subdivision with utilities, grading and even the final plat in five days. There is NO WAY I could have done that in LDT that fast. And that was including tweaking the Styles as I went. The end result was 42 sheets of plans and 1500 yds of import (The site was in a hole in farm country!).
Sure, I had a couple glitches and some things could have worked smoother, but I will trade those minor glitches for the late nights any time!
