    Question AutoCAD LT 2008 Impressions

We've just had AutoCAD LT 2008 installed on our network and it has an impressions tool bar which should create sketch effect drawings useful for planning applications etc..
However when our IT manager tried to get the 200MB download it was not available in the UK.

Does anyone know when it will be.

    Are you sure?

    From this page

"This offer is valid only in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. This technology preview is subject to the terms and conditions of the license agreement that accompanies this software."

    Not that I've tried it.

There's a napkin sketch tool in ACA/ADT which can produce a hand drawn effect. Does this not exist in vanilla CAD or Lt?
If not, why not, it doesn't really have anything to do with ACA/ADT.

There is no napkin sketch tool in ACA/ADT. See JB's link, Impression is an add-on for AutoCAD 08, AFAIK

    Hello John,
Thanks a million for the link. Unfortunately, unless I get repatriated in the near future, I won't be able to benefit from it. It's not valid here in France.

Is this a time limited trial of Impression? I can't really tell from the website?

Errr.... yes there is, but it's not like Impression it is similar to Squiggle if anyone remebers that. I was on the Beta testing for Impression it's a superb program.

Did I actually type that. What I meant to type was there is no Napkin tool in vanilla AutoCAD. I knew that it was there in ADT. Honest, I did.

Apologies for the confusion, and thanks for setting me straight, Steve.

Haha, no apologies are necessary, it doesn't take much to confuse me at the best of times

Just that we use the napkin sketch quite a bit for planning type drawings and it seems a bit odd to me that it's included in ADT/ACA but not in Vanilla Cad when you consider the fact that it doesn't really have much to do with any ADT specific commands or objects etc.
