Default xref plans missing from plot

Using AutocadLT 2002, created plans in model space, xreferenced into a drawing, added dimensions & notes in paper space. Drawing plotted ok. Then made revisions to plan& tried to re-plot. The full plan shows in paper space, but then disappears when plot image appears. Have tried detaching & re-attaching xref plan no different. Anyone had this problem?

Not to insult your intelligence, but have you checked its layer to make sure it is set to plot? It could have been switched to defpoints or another no-plot layer during the editing.

That's what it sounds like to me too.
Check what layer your xref is on, and then check to see if it has "no plot" checked off. Allot of times an xref gets accidently put on a viewport layer that has been assigned "no plot". Some companies use defpoints layer for viewports too (which will not plot either).

I have a similar issue. i have three files xrefed into my layout, but one of the plans will not plot. It will plot if i take out a particular xref. For some reason the one xref is hiding my main plan. I have tried different layers for both, different plot options. but no luck. My only workaround at the moment is to use the CHSPACE command in paper space.

    A few thoughts:

    1. Make sure that xref's aren't being referenced twice - one .dwg referenced in directly & the same .dwg nested in another attachment.

    2. If you are using constructs & sheets, make sure you attach using the navigator.

    3. Try detaching and re-attaching your xrefs (start with the one giving you trouble). If you have a lot of unique layer setttings, take a layer snapshot through the layer manager before detaching. I think you can reapply it after you re-attach.

I ran the recovery, but that did not work then I ran an audit on the troublesome xref and all seems to be well again.
