    Question Masking Regions / Grids

Would it be an idea for masking regions to work with grids.

The question has arisen because we do very large retail schemes with integrated
malls / public spaces. When the grids cross a mall area or a large public space,
it would be great for the grids to be "cleared" from these "zones" for clarity.
The grid lines tend to be consistent across the scheme but do not have the ability
to be "split / broken" to facilitate ease of refining the clarity of the drawing.

The masking region in RA 2008 is very good but does not work with grids, could it ?
Or could the grids have functionality added as for instance the section lines, so the grid could be split.

    Look forward to comments.

This is the better option in my opinion. It shouldn't be very difficult to program either since the code already exists for section lines.
