    Probably really stupid question, but why is my roof showing up on my foundation plan? It is accually covering the first floor wall reference so that i cant see the first floor walls to trace them for the foundation walls.

    Is your view range set high enough to bring your roof into the foundation plan?

    Check by right clicking anywhere in the open space without anything selected

    Select View Properties

    Go to Extents and click Edit next to View Range

    Check the Offsets and Levels to make sure they aren't up past your roof to have it in the Foundation Plan View.

    Another possibility is that you have an underlay on in the foundation plan view
