    Default DWF file hanging

After making a push for Design Review in my office, a month of review and presenting to the principles I was given the ok. Just 2 days ago I gave a full office presentation and tutorial, all is well with excitement and enthusiasm. Bam! Today one of our engineers managed to break it, not sure what the problem is but he got an error message stating “there are errors in the markup and you can not continue”. I have tried to open the file and it hangs up on sheet 5 of the 16 sheet file. Any suggestions to save my butt from being thrown under the bus?

In an ideal world, we would have some kind of DWF recover tool. Alas we do not. A developer has created an unpack tool that will pull out each sheet and place it in a separate file.

Perhaps converting the sheets to ASCII and reassembling them will correct the problem?

In an ideal world, software companies would not release software that was not stable, tested, and most importanly affects production in a negative way. Alas we do not.
