    You only need .net 2.0

    What exactly is the problem your having? Did you modify your ini so the exporter shows up?

    Add the following to the end of the Revit.ini file which is located here: C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2008\Program\Revit.ini

    [ExternalCommands]
    ECCount=1

    ECName1=NavisWorks JetStream v5
    ECClassName1=NavisWorks5.LcRevitExportCommand
    ECAssembly1=C:\Program Files\NavisWorks 5\nwexportrevit2008\nwexportrevit2008.dll

    This is assuming you have no other external commands, if there is one there allready then change ecccount to 2 and change the 1 after all the other names to 2

    Then when you start revit you will have the command under Tools > External Tools

    Ok, I have the external tool for it now, but nothing happens when I choose it.

    I have done the following,

    Start Revit and load the project.

    Set the editing view to normal, and make sure the Modify tool is selected.

    Select the Tools, External Tools, JetStream v5 from NavisWorks menu option. If this option is not available, check firstly that the Modify tool is selected, and secondly that the Revit license is correct such that the product is not being used in Demo/Viewer mode.

    what am I missing?

    We only have the demonstration software.
    I guess you need a License to use it.
    How will we know if we want to purchase it if you cannot try it first?

    We have placed an Evaluation Request to them and have heard nothing back, it's been 3 days.

    Yeah I went through the same hassle, i bitched about it on my blog and the president contacted me, of course I've lost his contact info since then, but you can contact our reseller, they've been great to work with.

    Okay, I've followed all the steps outlined in this thread, and I've got a licensed copy of Navisworks on my computer, and I select "Navisworks Jetstream v5" from the External Tools menu, and still nothing. I've done everything and it still doesn't work. What else could be wrong?

    Also, why do we have to go through this convoluted Rube Goldberg process to export from Revit to Navisworks when Autodesk owns both products? Is there a direct export in the works for a future revision of Revit?

    Did you install the plugin for revit 2008 when you installed NW?
