Default Line merge in 2D sections

I'm pretty sure this can't be done, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

If I merge some lines and make them erased vectors, is there any way to get them back later if I need to other than drawing the lines by hand and merging them to a subdivision?

    Just wondering.

Yes, it can. The erased vectors go to a display that is turned off. Go to the display for the sect/elev style and turn it on.

ahhhh, very nice. I wondered how it "erased" them. One more question. Say I only want to restore some of the erased vectors, but want to keep others. How would I get them on the correct layers since the section is an..............entity?........... block sorta thing (not sure of the correct word).

Turn on the erased vectors. Go to edit linework. Choose which vectors go where and use "modify component" to put them there.

all this time I was drawing lines on top of lines and merging. I never knew you could do it that way (assuming you wanted the whole line to be gone).

Thank you sir! Rep is on it's way!!!

I've actually created several additional components that correspond to various lineweights. That way I more easily edit lineweights.
