Default Takes forever to find drives!

When I open Autocad and click 'open' or 'saveas' or anything that causes the windows file explorer screen to open up it takes FOREVER! 1 1/2 to 3 minutes just sitting there. I 'work around' which means that I hook into a number of office networks at different times, and I'm guessing that Autocad is searching for all those remote and disconnected drives. In the Options>File Locations dialogue, everything is set locally to my C drive - nothing should be connecting off my laptop. Is there anyway to make Autocad behave?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Search (google) for Filemon.exe (it's free).
I used it a few years ago and found that acad was looking for a location called "Target" which didn't exist.
