Default ACA 2008 Wall Style override?

Can you set a wall style to be on a different layer?
I don't want the wall to be on A-Wall. I need several wall layers for different wall styles.
I can get the plan overrides to show up with the right layer and color but when I pick on that wall and look at the layer pulldown it shows me that it is on A-Wall.

    Hi Donnia,

Drag the wall style to your palette and then right-click the wall and select properties. In the properties you can set a layer key for that wall style.

    Hope this helps,

Some see the glass as half full, others as half empty. As an engineer I see the glass as twice as big as it needs to be. ~Unknown~

Or, if you do not want to create separate layer keys, you can set overrides for the various layer component fields, provided your layer standard has multiple component fields and your layer key style permits overrides. If A-Wall is your default layer for walls, chances are you are using the AIA (256 color) layer standard (or whatever it is called in later releases), which has multiple component fields.
