Flatten Detail View to 2d draughting view and keep detail componets functionality

Hi,

Firstly I'm not a programmer, but i do tinker.
I'm trying to alter the ImportExportDWG sample from the revit sdk,

Step 1, I would like to be able to turn off all 2d components in a view and then export the remaining components etc to a dwg, then re import it as a draughting view.

Step 2 grab all the 2d components turned off in step 1 and copy them to the new draughting view thus keeping the detail components functionality.

Robobat have a utility which almost achieves this, except it converts all objects to 2d line work, It must be easy to add a filter tool to achieve this, your thoughts and comments are welcome.

I would suggest you try starting with turning off the categories of objects you're not interested in. The visibilityControl sample from the SDK should be a good start.
