    Cool DECIMAL FEET DIMSTYLE

I have a guy that would like to have decimal points for his feet. when all is said and done he would like his dimension to read. 129.4' or 59.7'

Anyone know how to do that? I messed around with the dimstyles and the units and talked to old cad hacks here and I can't figure it out so I thought I would come to the pros.

have you tried putting the apostrophe " ' " in for a suffix?

Just make sure you only add the " ' " to your linear dimensions.

If you're not sure how to do that let me/us know.

Just to clarify what others have said....
You need to be in decimal unit format in your dimension style, while in your "Primary Units" tab, in the suffix box add an apostrophe ['].

Also, depending on what your drawing units are will depend on what your length scale (dimlfac) will be (not dimscale). If your using decimal units, and one unit equals a foot just leave it at "1". But if you're in architectural units, you'll need to set your dimlfac to 0.0833.

    Clear as mud?

Thank you everyone, Actually that was only part of it. The whole issues was getting the feet to come out decinal. What I had to end up doing was changing the scale factor in the dimstyle to 1/12 as well as adding the ' is the suffix.

    Thanks for helping out.
